About seven years ago, @ktclinkscale and her son,

About seven years ago, @ktclinkscale and her son, Connor, started a little something that has evolved into something pretty amazing.

While pursuing, growing and advancing in my career as a #nonprofit #healthcare leader, Kesha and Connor created @younggentsinc - a movement to normalize #black #excellence for young boys of color, their friends and their families.

What started out as an intentional effort to celebrate the remarkable achievements of young black boys and provide them with extraordinary opportunities to learn and refine basic etiquette skills, @younggentsinc has organically evolved into a powerful movement that has brought these future leaders into the room and has strategically sat them at the table - #Literally - to engage, offer insight, get comfortable and excel.

These young gentlemen have met and become mentees of extraordinary leaders - who look just like them - across a multitude of industries.

Over the years, @younggentsinc has curated incredible consortiums focused on #finance, #technology, #golf, #politics, #philanthropy, and now #travel.

The next Consortium begins in September 2023. Follow us on all of our social channels and stay tuned to ensure your young gent is granted access to become a part of a movement like no other.

Fascinating is an understatement when visiting #TheCapitol and watching our sons take up space and navigate - with confidence - the #HallsOfCongress was nothing short of #excellence…#BlackExcellence!

#BloodySunday.

58 years ago today, 600+ freedom fighters, gathered at Brown Chapel A.M.E. Church to begin a 54-mile march from #Selma to #Montgomery simply seeking the right to vote for #AfricanAmericans.

The brutal events that occurred only a half mile into the march on the Edmund Pettus Bridge forever changed American history and catapulted the #CivilRightsMovement.

This past weekend, @younggentsinc traveled to Selma to commemorate Bloody Sunday.

Our sons stood on the banks of the Alabama River with the Edmond Pettus Bridge behind them…learning, reflecting and receiving encouragement from strangers and dignitaries alike to keep on pursuing #equality, getting into #GoodTrouble and demonstrating all manners of #BlackExcellence.

This weekend, @younggentsinc is recognizing the 58th Anniversary of #BloodySunday.

With an intentional focus on #Politics and #Etiquette, @younggentsinc family members and friends journeyed to Alabama to learn, reflect and to #NeverForget one of the most pivotal events that added intense momentum to the #CivilRights Movement.

Yesterday, we walked the soul-stirring pathways and riveting rooms of the @LegacyMuseum: From Enslavement to Mass Incarceration.

This powerful, heart wrenching museum boldly presents the horrors of the #TransAtlantic Slave Trade AND the #DomesticSlaveTrade that persisted beyond the abolishment of slavery in 1865. Exhibits throughout the museum also connect the deadly and devastating dots between slavery, racism and the structural remnants of these dehumanizing systems that are ever present in our present day.

In the words of my dear friend and fellow @younggentsinc mom, @runliftdiva, I did not watch the video because I have someone - a precious, amazing and gifted someone - who calls me mom.

Prayers up to the family, friends and loved ones of Tyre…especially his mom. He called for her…as did George Floyd and too many others.

Prayers up for our community of black princes and kings.

Prayers up for our nation.

And swift justice for all those involved in destroying the life of #TyreNichols.
